Random Cuteness

Sage is the cutest thing wearing these duck slippers. They used to be Eden's....my girls are getting too big too fast.

Ginny is getting in the Christmas spirit

Thanksgiving 2010

Grandma Jill, Grandma Nancy, and Grandpa Ron came to visit for Thanksgiving. We had lots of good food and lots of fun. Grandma Nancy brought a gingerbread house kit that the girls had a great time putting together.

Grandpa Ron with his smoothie...the green is from collard greens...I didn't try it but he said it was delicious ;)

The finished gingerbread house...we eventually had to hide it because Sage kept wanting to eat all the candy from it and when I told her no...she threw fits...and wouldn't eat anything else..well, you get the idea.

Grandpa Ron also helped us put up the Christmas tree and put the lights on and then we celebrated an early Christmas. The girls were very excited.

Sage got some cute dress-up shoes and some jewelry so she can play princess with Eden

Eden got the cutest little tea set that she really loves

Fall at the Zoo

Grandma Peggy and BopBop came to visit us before Thanksgiving and we decided to go to the zoo because the weather wasn't too hot and it wasn't too cold either :)

Eden climbing through the fish tunnel...she got a little nervous when she got inside...Daniel almost had to go in after her :)
Our favorite part was the baby elephants....they were so cute. They kept bugging their mom and she finally had enough and "trumpeted" at them and they stood right at attention. Maybe I need to ask for tips....:)

The sweet girls...sharing a stroller :)

Eden had to ride the carousel....it was fun....BopBop and Daniel decided to watch :)

All About Halloween - Finally, right?

I am finally posting pictures from Halloween. Now, I don't really love Halloween, but I do love that we can do some fun things together as a family, so that's just what we did. Eden and I made pumpkin cookies and she put faces on them with chocolate chips. Then we picked out a big pumpkin and a little pumpkin and carved a jack-0-lantern. Daniel and I got to go to a costume party which I was dreading but actually was really fun. And then the girls got to go "trunk or treating" at our church party. Lots of fun with not too much candy = a super fun halloween week :)

Eden drew a face on her little pumpkin

Eden told us what kind of a face to carve and Daniel and I carved the pumpkin...this is the result....not too bad ;)

This is Sage's new "cheese" face for the camera...silly girl :)

I actually dressed up and i think my costume turned out pretty good :)

Daniel went as Doc Brown from Back to the Future....aka "mad scientist" :)

We had the two cutest Minnie Mouses I've ever seen...the girls had so much fun. Sage really loved dressing up and she loved that people put candy in her pumpkin....such an amazing thing for little kids :)

Eden and her friend Brayden the pirate

Eden and her friend Alex the knight

Sweet sisters being silly

Sage liked to travel in her stroller with her hand in her pumpkin....making sure all that candy stayed safe :)

The day Eden has been waiting for...

...the day when Sage can and wants to play dress up with her. She left her cute little outfit on, including all the necessary accessories and then they played. And mommy listened....to all those cute little giggles and my heart melted. My two sweet girls, playing so sweetly together. I will file this moment away for a day when they aren't playing so sweetly and then I can have a few giggles myself while chaos ensues. :)

Eden's First Day of Preschool

Eden started preschool...the kind where you drop them off and pick them up later...the kind where mom freaks out a little bit to think her little girl is old enough to do this kind of preschool. But she is very ready and really excited. She picked out her outfit for her first day including the sparkly headband. Doesn't she look adorable?

Daniel took the morning off from work and the plan was to take her into her class as a family and wish her well on her first day of school. As we got closer to the school she informed us that she did not want us to go in with her and we needed to drop her off so she could walk in with her teachers. I started having a panic attack....but we complied and dropped her off for her first day and waved goodbye as we drove away (and I cried...) And yes I cried because I wanted to walk her in ...it was more for me than her anyway...but she was ready to be a big girl and I just had to get on board with that. So I got over my little sniffles and worried about her until it was time to pick her up. But of course she had a great day and was excited to go back. We took her to McDonald's for lunch and then later that afternoon she crashed on the couch....and so did I. It was a big day for all of us. :)

Camping

Daniel and the girls love to go camping...me...not as much. I endure the great outdoors because they love it so much. We recently went on a fun camping trip, the weather was perfect and we had a good campsite and the food was good too :) We hiked in a little ways and found the perfect site to set up camp. It's a good thing we brought the big double stroller this time because it made it so easy for Daniel to go get all of our stuff from the car and wheel it over to our campsite. After we got things set up we made some yummy hot dogs and had chips and cookies (which ants later got into) and then when it got dark we put Sage to sleep in the tent and we made popcorn and s'mores and played games and Daniel got to look at the stars with his telescope.

We all slept pretty good in our tent and it didn't get too cold, so we were all in a pretty good mood the next morning. We had breakfast and went on a hike and then packed up and went home to wash off all the dirt (that's my favorite part of camping...the shower after we get home) But we really had a great time and Eden is already asking when we can go again :)

Our campsite

Sage all bundled up for breakfast :)

The weather was perfect for hiking

We even saw a few critters...Eden wanted to make sure this caterpillar had plenty of leaves to eat. We also saw a deer, a rabbit, a lizard, and an armadillo....raccoons also tried to get into our garbage during the night, but that's another story (*wink*)

Sage had a nice nap on our hike.

Lots of pretty scenery and some nice away time so we could be "all together as a family" :)
