Sage was sitting in my bed with me this morning and she tooted.
Eden asked, "Sagie, did you toot?"
And with a completely straight face, Sage replied, "No, Mommy toot."
She's not even two, people! Not. Even. Two.
At least my life will never be boring. :)

Easter 2011
This year, Easter involved a throwing up virus, some midnight calls to the Dr., some liquid Zofran, and lots and lots of laundry. Somehow the Easter bunny still managed to pay us a visit and we still managed to talk about the real reason we have Easter and the glorious miracle that is our Savior's Atonement and Resurrection. The Easter Bunny visits our house Saturday morning so that we can focus on the Real Easter on Sunday. Liquid zofran = no throwing up = the ability to eat easter candy. So the girls were still able to enjoy some parts of Easter. Enjoy the egg hunt pictures ;)

Magic
I have in my possession some magic blue stones. No, I'm serious, they really are magic. We call them "Super Sibling Stones" and my girls will do ANYTHING for one. They put their dishes in the sink without being asked, they are reverent for prayers, they clean up their toys, they do kind things for one another without any provocation from me. See, Magic! And when the girls do something kind or good they get to put of these "magic" stones in a little jelly jar, and when that jar is full we get to do a fun family activity. These stones are a raving success in our home. The first time they filled up the jar they chose miniature golfing as our activity followed by a family movie night. It was fun. Eden (not surprisingly) is good at miniature golf, usually getting a par 2 (better than mommy and sometimes better than daddy). Sage just liked to figure out how some of the holes worked where the ball disappeared down a hole and then came out somewhere else. We all had a very good time. So I am now a firm believer in magic. And if you really want some magic stones for yourself.....they sell them at Target ;)

The Big 10
Ten years ago today I started on an incredible journey, I went from being a Miss to a Mrs. It was the best decision I've ever made. In the past ten years Daniel and I have both graduated from college, moved a few times, bought a house, and had the two most beautiful girls. We have a done A LOT, and it has been great. We have accomplished more together than we ever could apart, and we have loved every minute of it. Do we fight? Of course. Are our lives perfect? Absolutely not. But I get to experience all of it with my best friend, so when I look back over the last 10 years, all I remember are the good parts. :) Happy 10 year anniversary to us! Enjoy the flashback photos.

The Strawberry Festival
We met up with Bop-Bop and Grandma Peggy for some Strawberry Festival fun. We ate lots of fair food and lots of strawberries....strawberry ice cream, chocolate covered strawberries, just plain strawberries....they even had a sign for strawberry nachos, but we didn't try them. But before we could do anything, Sage had to try on Bop-Bop's boots and give them a spin...
Eden wanted to ride lots of rides, and she did. Unfortunately, Sage was two inches too short for most of the rides.

Can you tell Eden is having the grandest of times?
Eden was not at all afraid of the animals
Sage was a little more shy
It was hot, but we still had a good time. We bought a flat of strawberries that had just been picked that day....they smelled divine. And they tasted even better. We ate quite a few of those and then I made LOTS of jam with the rest of them. The most important part was that we got to spend some great time together as a family, my favorite thing! (oh, and the hotel had a pool...that is most important to Eden ;) )

Eden's 4th Birthday
Eden is our lucky charm, our sweet girl born on St. Patrick's Day. I can't believe that she is already 4. We celebrated her birthday in style. Daniel and I decorated the night before so the house would be party ready when Eden woke up. And she woke up bright and early. Sometimes I have a hard time getting her up for preschool, but on her birthday, she was up and ready for some fun. We started with the most important thing first, presents.
Then we moved to the next important thing...birthday donuts. We even got green sprinkles in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
Then I made my sweet girl pose for some birthday pictures. Eden has style and she is full of personality. She is definitely not afraid to be herself.
Trying out her new trampoline
This is my favorite picture :)
Then we got ready for a good-old fashioned backyard birthday party. We hunted for leprechaun gold and played Pin the Tail on the Donkey, and musical chairs, and just had a good time in the nice weather.

Eden picked all the chocolate chips off her cake first then started into the frosting. Anything goes when it's your birthday.

I asked Eden what kind of cake she wanted and she told me a raspberry cake with vanilla frosting and chocolate chips and marshmallows. I wasn't quite sure how I was going to fit in the marshmallows so I talked her out it and we went for sprinkles instead :)

She had a great birthday. We ended the day by going to Chick-fil-a for birthday dinner, her choice. She said it was the best birthday ever. I'm sure it was. And in honor of Eden's 4th birthday, here are 4 things that I love about Eden:
- she has a great memory, almost photographic, sometimes it scares me ;)
- she has a great imagination and she loves to make up stories
- she loves music and she loves to dance, it is so much fun to hear her sing. Her great memory means she knows the words to lots of songs :)
- She is compassionate and caring towards us and her friends. She is sweet and loving and makes sure people feel happy. She is free with her hugs.
I love that girl. She is already asking when she will be 5, but for my sake she will be 4 for the rest of the year :)
