Eden and Ginny have a tea party...

...and Ginny kindly agrees to be the table. Eden loves Ginny and it appears that Ginny returns the sentiment....not too many friends would be so patient.

The Hybrid Name

Eden has come up with a new name for her Daddy. At first she called him "Dada" and then she started calling him "Daniel". Well now she has her own creation....she calls him "Daddy-niel" It's a hybrid combo that gets the job done. "Daddy-niel" thinks it is the cutest thing ever.

Happy Birthday Eden!

Eden had such a fun birthday yesterday! I'm sure being 2 is just great! We had Wall-E cupcakes (her new favorite after Buzz) and lots of fun with friends and Momma and Daddy. The bubble machine was a huge hit as was the tea set. I just can't believe my little girl is already 2! I just had her a few weeks ago, didn't I? But now she is a big girl..she was even singing "Happy Birthday to Eden" all day yesterday...I just can't get enough of my sweet girl. We also celebrated Daniel's birthday, which is Saturday. I surprised him with tickets to see Les Miserables...he was very surprise and very excited....it is his favorite musical/book. Now maybe I will have a big present (ie my other little girl) for my birthday...that's not too much to ask is it?

To Infinity...and Beyond!

My parents and my sister visited from New Mexico this past weekend. They brought presents for Eden's birthday next week, and of course we had to open them right away. Eden was the happiest little girl on the planet when she saw that Buzz costume. Daddy had to fly her around and around so she could be "Buzz". So a big thank you goes to Grandma Peggy and Bop-Bop for giving my little "Buzz" fuel for her imagination.

A Fun Day at the Park

Eden got to go to the park today with her good friend Alex. They had such a great time. Eden loves being outside. We even had a friendly squirrel visit us while we were eating our lunch. Eden tried to touch it (thank goodness the squirrel ran away) and of course she talked to it while it was eating all the things we dropped and threw at it...including fruit snacks. Apparently squirrels will eat just about anything.

It's a....

GIRL!!!!

We are having another girl. Here's a profile shot. We are so excited!!!! I just think it is going to be so fun for Eden to have a little sister. She had her legs crossed for most of the ultrasound and I was a little worried we wouldn't find out...but she finally moved them. Now we have to start the name list ....:)

Wake Up Call

Yesterday morning at 5am I wake up to hear this:

"Daniel, Daaaniiiiel, Daaaaaaaaaniiiiiiiiiiiiel"

Daniel gets out of bed and rescues his favorite girl and she requests "Chocolate Milk" so he sticks her in our bed and goes downstairs for the sippy cup. She takes a few sips and says "All Done!" Then she says "Go Night-night!" and scoots over to Daniel's pillow and lays down and then says "Covers, please!". Daniel gives me a grin that says he is the happiest dad in the world and Eden and "Daniel" share his pillow and sleep until the alarm goes off for Daniel to get up to go to work.

He then returns the sleeping girl to her crib and gets ready for work. Of course he is still in a daze that the sweetest girl in the world wanted to snuggle with her daddy this morning. I do have to admit that it was pretty cute. I am just glad that Daniel doesn't mind sharing his pillow because it wouldn't have worked with mama. I guess that is why she called for "Daniel". :)
