The Many Faces of Eden

Eden is a very good actress. She acts things out for us all the time and will do faces on demand.

Happy

Mad

Sad

Surprised!

Scared

and don't forget silly :)

That girl makes us laugh....all the time. Now you can see for yourself :)

Family Time - Eden Style

Eden has been asking to go to a hotel. We did a little bit of traveling this summer and she really liked staying in hotels. She asks constantly, so we decided, why not? We used some of those hotel points Daddy has been racking up and we had a nice mini vacation. We stayed in a hotel, ate at some yummy restaurants, Eden and Daddy got to go swimming, and then we topped it off by going to a model train show. Lots and lots of fun. Eden has the best ideas :)

Eden and Sage testing out the bed
Enjoying some yummy Italian food

Eden made a mustache out of her spaghetti

We had the best cheesy garlic bread....soooooo yummy!

Lots of trains to see

And some to ride...

And some that delivered treats! Eden's favorite :)
And then we came home and we all played trains some more.

Sage's Shoe Shine Service

Yep, that's my shoe in the toilet. Sage decided to start her own shoe shine service....I'm sure it will be a big hit. I will have to figure out how to control the crowds of people that will be lining up at our door to have their shoe's shined by Sage....I'm sure there will be thousands.

Let me just say....that this idea is way better the cell phone cleaning service that she *almost* decided to start (I caught her in time..thank goodness). I've been trying to keep the lids of the toilet closed along with the door to the bathrooms...but sometimes this girl is just too fast.

A peak into the not so distant future...

I can just hear the duets....well technically, I did, but they sound a little different in my head :) Both of these girls have long beautiful fingers just perfect for playing the piano. Just give them a few years and you will be able to hear beautiful music along with some giggling and some fighting too, I'm almost sure of it :)

It's also been great weather for playing hopscotch

The girls really love to play outside...so I broke out the sidewalk chalk and Eden instantly wanted to play hopscotch...the whole family got in the game...

Sage also paused to collect some rocks.....

Mommy played too...but I didn't have my picture taken :)

We've been having nice park weather

It has been nice and cool lately...perfect for playing at the park. These girls could swing all day...especially Sage. Eden loves to swing too, just not too high...she also like to slide and play in the dirt... Then we have some picnic lunch and head home for naps...and baths...:)

Silly Bands

Dear Grandma Peggy-

Thanks for the silly bands...the girls play with them ALL THE TIME. The cats do too, sometimes...if they get left on the floor....which they do. Mommy has hidden them for the time being...shhhh...don't tell the girls.

Why I Love Target

OK...maybe I don't really "love" Target, but I really like shopping there because I can get cute matching outfits for my sweet girls for cheap...and I can even find CareBear socks on the dollar aisle....this is HUGE considering Eden is currently into CareBears.

Eden wanted to hold Sage's hand for the picture...but obviously Sage did not...pretty common occurrence around here...
Eden let go of Sage's hand and I got Sage to look at the camera...pretty amazing *wink*

Eden's New Friend

Eden has a very large collection of stuffed "friends". The latest edition was added courtesy of Daddy and his inability to say no. I do have to admit that it is pretty difficult to say no to this cute face....

Eden and her new friend, Ruffie. She's making Ruffie feel welcome by pretending to be a dog

Eden's own photograph of Ruffie

Eden is quite the photographer...;)

Of course her favorite thing to do is to snuggle with her "friends" and if you notice "Purple Night-night" is close by too...

Just more proof of why it is hard for Daddy to tell her no...*wink*

Who Knew Butterflies are Scary?

We recently visited our favorite museum for free museum day with some friends. We looked at dinosaur bones, seashells, and pretty rocks, and then we went to our favorite part...the butterflies! When we walked in Sage started going "Ooohhhhhhh!" She thought the butterflies were so pretty.

Then these butterflies landed on my camera case and that was just too close for Sage and she started going "Aaahhhh, ahhhhhhhh" meaning "get those killer butterflies away from me!". She decided she did not like butterflies and when one flew too close she was frantically trying to climb over me to get away. I thought it was sooooooooooo funny. Poor Sage.

Daniel with Lyra and Sage. Apparently Sage wanted Daddy to hold her because Mommy wasn't doing a very good job keeping her away from those attack butterflies.

Two cute little bees finding a place in the hive...:)

Eden visited the planet Saturn

It was a fun day at the museum and we enjoyed being all together as a family, as Eden would say.
