And now begins the Disneyland pictures. We waited FOREVER to go to Disneyland (or so it seemed) and it definitely didn't disappoint. We rode as many rides as we could and were there from park opening to park close. We had so much fun that we were all sad to leave and definitely wanted to go back again the next week, but alas, normal life had to resume. At least we have these great pictures :)

Our Big Californian Adventure - Day 2 - Del Mar Beach
On Day 2 we decided to go to our favorite beach in Del Mar. The weather was perfect and we went as the tide was going out so we found all kinds of treasures, including lots of shells, some hermit crabs, and Eden even found a starfish. We brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed the ocean for most of the day. For dinner we went to our favorite sushi restaurant. The girls got a little crazy with the chopsticks. I even got to have my favorite red bean ice cream for dessert. We also tried a black sesame ice cream, but the red bean is still my favorite :) We ended the day with a drive by the beautiful San Diego Temple.

Our Big Californian Adventure - Day 1 - San Diego
We have been counting down to this vacation since Thanksgiving. We were all so very excited to spend a week in California. We decided to start the trip in San Diego, one of our favorite places. After what seemed like the longest plane ride ever, we rode down the coast and headed to Coronado Island for a little beach fun. Sage loved chasing the waves and she loved running and screaming as the waves chased her. Both girls really wanted a seagull to land on their fingers, but after I told them that wouldn't happen, they settled for trying to catch one by sneaking as quietly as they could. Poor seagulls. Then we headed to one of our favorite restaurants for some delicious seafood at sunset.
One of my favorite pictures from the whole trip...a great action shot of Sage :)
It was a good thing I had an extra change of clothes for the girls, they got pretty wet playing in the ocean. I didn't think they would be that adventurous. I should have known :)
Eden took this picture for us :)

Sage at play
Sage loves to play with little people or animals. She makes them talk to each other and she gets very involved. Here is just a little peak of Sage at play.
Post Christmas Mini-Vacation
Daniel had an extra day of vacation to burn after Christmas so we took a little mini vacation and went downtown and stayed at a hotel (the girls' favorite thing to do) and went to the zoo and then went ice skating. I think ice skating was the favorite activity, and both girls did great. Sage really took to the ice, but she had double-bladed skates so that might have made a difference :)
Eden loves jellyfish
Sage found some chickens roaming around (yes, not caged) and she desperately tried to catch one. She wasn't quite fast enough (thank goodness ;))
Christmas!
The long awaited Christmas morning. We thought Sage would be the first one awake because she is usually up by 6am...sometimes earlier, but it was Eden that came into our room around 5am. We tried to go back to sleep for a little while, but we just couldn't, so we woke up Sage and Aunt Kaysha and Uncle Kaelan and then spent the morning unwrapping presents.
Eden's favorite present...her new scooter!
The girls checking to see if Santa ate his cookies and drank his chocolate milk
Sage loves Bullseye and her new trike!
Sage got fingerpaints from Santa and that is one of the first things the girls wanted to play with
