Christmas cookies with Grandma Nancy

The girls helped Grandma Nancy make her "famous" molasses cookies.  They were super yummy!

Then we let the girls open their gifts from each other.  Sage got Eden a Cinderella vanity, complete with a little hair dryer and some pretty clips and a little tiara.  They had fun playing beauty shop.  Eden got Sage a Doc McStuffins doll, which she really loves.

Gingerbread House - Hello Kitty Style

Grandma Nancy found an awesome gingerbread house kit.  The girls love anything Hello Kitty (well, who doesn't?) so this was perfect!

A Night in Bethlehem

Some good friends invited us to join them for "A Night in Bethlehem".  A church group turns a fairground into Bethlehem and they lead you through the story of Jesus' birth and then you get to spend some time in the town of Bethlehem.  They have crafts and food samples and all kinds of things.  It is really quite amazing.  We had a great time.  What a wonderful way to get in the Christmas spirit!

My Favorite Past-time

My favorite past-time is reading.  I love to read and finding great authors is awesome, and getting to meet one is ever better.  This is me and Ally Condie, author of the Matched series.  I really loved these books and it was awesome to meet her and have her sign the last book in the trilogy.  I asked her to give me permission to read anytime I want when she signed my book.  She said, "Oooo, like a dr.'s note!"  She liked the idea, so she wrote that I have permission to read anytime I want, dinner can wait!.  It was really fun.
