Camptown Ladies Sing Their Song...

Eden loves the Camptown Races song...

*NOTE* The "No" in the video means that Eden doesn't want Mommy to sing with her she wants to "do it herself"...of course.

Just for Eden

I changed the background in honor of Eden because her birthday is St. Patrick's Day. Yep, she's my little lucky charm. I can't believe she is going to be 2 years old. When did that happen? We've only had her 2 years, but it seems like she's always been a part of our little family.

So while we may not be Irish, we are definitely lucky to have a little four-leaf clover in the family.

Eden doesn't live here anymore

That's right, Eden is gone. But that's okay. Instead we have Buzz Lightyear living with us. This particular Buzz looks just like Eden except for we have to call her (him) Buzz. It has been very confusing for me. The other day I was trying to tell, who I thought was Eden, that we weren't suppose to be playing with something:

Eden, don't touch the batteries, you know you aren't allowed to touch those.

no, no, no Buzz!

Sorry, Buzz, don't touch the batteries

Another incident happened just after that (or before, I'm too confused to know). Eden (or so I thought) had just thrown something away for me:

Good job Eden!

No, good job Buzz!

You can see how confused I am. At least when she comes down the stairs she tells me who she is: "Buzz is coming!"

Fortunately, Aunt Lacey has saved us by sending Eden (I think) a Buzz Lightyear doll. We talk to and about Buzz all the time and it is a little less confusing for me. So maybe Eden will come live with us again now that she has her very own Buzz to come with her.

Pretty Dress

This is what Eden wore to church today. Isn't she the cutest?

Valentine's Movie Night

Last night the three of us went out for dinner for Valentine's Day. We had Thai food and it was yummy. It started pouring rain so we decided to come home and have a movie night. We all got in our jammies and put pillows and blankets on the floor. Eden snuggled right down and looked up at her daddy and said:

"Popcorn, please. Okay? Bye." (with a look that said, go make it now)

I died laughing as Daniel said, " You know, she gets that from you." And then he went to make popcorn. (while trying not to laugh)

She probably gets it from me. Oh well. But the popcorn was delicious. (Smile)

Eden and the New Baby

We have told Eden that there is a baby in my tummy. The first time we told her she looked at me very confused and then asked to "see him" (*note* we do not know the gender of the baby, that is just what Eden said). So I lifted up my shirt and pointed to my tummy and said the baby was inside there. She said "Out, out, out!" I told her that the baby has to get a lot bigger before it can come out. She said okay and moved on to something else.

A few days later she requested to see the baby in my tummy again and so I lifted up my shirt and she patted my tummy and said "ahhhhh." Then said "hi baby" and gave it a kiss and started singing twinkle, twinkle little star. It was the sweetest thing ever.

So I guess she gets it. She even told "Baby bigger out". Yes Eden, the baby has to be bigger before it can come out. But when it does, he or she will have the sweetest big sister in the world.

Yes, I am still alive

I am going to give a quick update just so you know how things are here. Since my last post:

1. We have made 4 trips to the ER....3 for me and 1 for Eden. Eden cut her eye falling in the tub, she is fine it didn't even need stitches. Mine were for dehydration
2. Since I made so many ER trips I am now tethered to an IV pole at home along with a Zofran pump.
3. Eden continues to be a sweet girl and has been very patient with Mommy being sick.
4. Daniel has been taking good care of us and working full time and he is tired all the time, I wonder why?
5. All of the great people at church have cleaned out home, brought us meals, and have helped out with Eden.

Even though life is difficult right now, we are truly blessed. I cannot even express how grateful we are, but just know that every little action of kindness is appreciated.
