Eden had the opening part in this year's Primary Program at Church. She has a great memory and her teachers recognized that and she got to give the very first part to introduce the program. And it wasn't a little part either. She memorized the whole thing...and by the time she had it down....so did Sage :) She did great and we are so proud of her. Here is her part:
2 Nephi 32:3 "...Feast upon the words of Christ, for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do." This year I have been studying the scriptures. I read about the prophet Nephi. I will go and do, just like Nephi.

You Better Bring Your Wallet When You Visit the Kitchen
OK - so I have not been a very good blogger this summer. Suffice it to say, we went lots of places and had lots of fun. It feels nice to finally be getting back into a routine. So instead of trying to play catch up with the blog, I think I will just start from right here.
Eden has been earning prizes from the "Mommy Store" for completing her reading lessons. The latest prize, a little tin bank. Of course I also gave her a few coins to put in her new bank, but she wanted more. I told her she could earn some by doing chores so she made her bed, cleaned up Sage's toys, and dusted the living room.
She still wanted more coins so she devised her own way of collecting....she set up a tollway in the kitchen. To get in (or out) of the kitchen you had to put a coin in her bank. All I can say is "That's my girl!"

Memorial Day Weekend
We were very lucky to have Aunt Kaysha and Uncle Kaelan come visit us for the long weekend. We decided to take them to the beach because Aunt Kaysha has never been before. The girls were super excited and kept asking when we were going. I should learn my lesson and never tell them until right before we leave :) Eden was not afraid of the water at all and she loved playing in the waves. Sage liked playing with the seaweed and sitting on the edge where the waves could tickle her feet.
I made a sand castle :)

Disco Fever
We got invited to a friend's birthday party. It was Disco themed, and you HAD to dress up. So we did :)
The awesome shoes. They were difficult to walk and dance in, but where else am I going to wear them? The next day I realized I had lost the feeling in a couple of my toes. It took a few days to come back...and I'm not even kidding...completely true story.

Ready to dance the night away...it was an awesome party. We had a great time.
Lots of hairspray to make my hair "poofy"....it took forever to wash out the next day

Eden's Preschool Graduation
Eden had a great year at preschool. She got to make new friends, learn new things, and she had lots of fun. For graduation the kids got to walk down a green "aisle" holding a graduation wand and then they stood on a little platform to receive their cap and their diploma. It was very cute.
We got to sit right behind Eden

Thanks Uncle Justin...
...for the best birthday present EVER! Light Sabre chop sticks. Seriously, what is cooler than that? He sent Eden some for her birthday and we had to use them right away, first for a sword fight and then for noodles. Like I said, best present EVER! Thanks Uncle Justin, we love you!

Mother's Day 2011
For Mother's Day I got to sleep in and then enjoy this lovely breakfast in bed. Everyone contributed something to the breakfast. Sage put the banana on the tray, Eden wanted me to have cereal, and Daniel made me an omelet. I even have toast and jam. I am truly blessed :) Plus I got an awesome card made by my sweet girls and my husband. I am happy that I can be a mommy to those two sweet girls. They're the best!
