A Good Sunday

There's something special about family time, especially on a Sunday. We got to sleep in and then Eden requested waffles for breakfast (who am I to deny a girl her waffles). So we enjoyed a nice breakfast and then Eden wanted to watch a show about Jesus. So we watched a show about Jesus and then we listened to some nice church music while we played Finding Nemo Go Fish. Eden is getting pretty good at Go Fish...she now knows that if you ask her for something she doesn't have to tell you " No, Go Fish!"

Then we "snuggled" (per Eden's request) and watched a "show" until it was time to get ready for church. The talks in sacrament meeting were about reverence and they were really good. Of course, Eden was making friends with the people that sat behind us and wasn't being very reverent. Here are a few snippets of what she said:
"Hi what's your name?" (over and over)
"Oh no there's an itsy bitsy spider on my nose" (pretending)
"Draw me a picture of an elephant and a giraffe"
"Look! I'm dancing!"
"Oh a kitty, how cute. Awwww." (to a picture of a kitty)

She was extra chatty and then when we started singing the closing song she said: "Yeah! we made it! Time for nursery!" Daniel and I both couldn't help but crack up. She had a great time in nursery and promptly fell asleep on the way home. Not a bad Sunday at all.

Dito to that last comment. She sure is creative and a little spitfire. What a joy.
