Eden's First Trip to the Beach

Daniel had Good Friday off so we decided to head to the beach. Eden had never been, but she was very excited to go. I told her Thursday and I should have waited until we were almost to the beach on Friday because that is all we heard Thursday. It was the first thing she said Friday when she woke up "Yeah, go to the beach!" and it is what she talked about the entire trip to the beach. But it was very cute.

She immediately wanted to get into the water, so of course Daddy-niel helped her out

Then they had to build a sandcastle, which turned out quite good. Eden even decorated it with some seashells that she found.

Eden enjoyed looking for seashells and playing in the sand. She was not ready to go home.

All in all it was a really great trip. We got there early and left as it started to get crowded. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. We will definitely be going back, but I am going to wait until the day of to tell Eden ;)

A Recent Conversation

Mama, I neeeed someping.

You need something?

Yes.

I need farshfellows.

You need marshmallows?

Yes. How about five?

Oh. Ok.

How does Eden eat her goldfish?

By color of course! Don't you? Daniel said he used to sort things by color when he was little before eating them...I guess she's got a little of both of us in there...and let me say...some of it is all her own. That's the part that I love best :)

A Belly Shot

Bedtime Photo Session

The other night before bed, Eden requested we take her picture....

Then she said, "I'll do it myself"

And so she took the camera and turned it around to take a picture of herself

The Big Girl Bed

Eden has been sleeping for a few weeks in her new big girl bed (aka not the crib). She even takes naps in it! It just happened all of a sudden and I am very grateful because for a while there I thought we might have to buy another crib ;) She thinks it is so great to get out of her own bed in the morning. She comes to find me and says, " Mama! I waked up! Good morning!"

She even says this after she gets up from her naps in the afternoon. She even tried it the other night when she wanted to stay up later. About half an hour after we put her down for bed we hear her at the top of the stairs " I waked up! Good morning!"

We told her it was still night time and that she needed to go back to sleep to which she replied "But I waked up!" You have to give the girl points for trying. So we got her back down and she said " Mama?" and I said "Yes, Eden"...."I love you."...talk about melt my heart. She really is turning into a big girl.

Grapes

Tonight after dinner I asked Eden if she wanted some grapes. It was just a formality, really, because she LOVES grapes...well, who doesn't. So I washed some and put them in a little bowl for her. Then I got to be entertained...

She started by picking up the smallest grape and saying "look, the baby...awwww" and then she found the biggest grape and named it "Daddy-niel" and there was also a mommy grape and then the grape family had a conversation. I believe the Daddy-niel grape was talking to the baby grape and I was laughing too hard to remember what was said and then she ate them and asked for more.

Then the whole thing started all over again. She has quite the imagination...who needs TV when you have a 2 year old chatter-box? I will have to say that the Daddy-niel grape was the favorite because it talked the most out of all the grapes. Strangely true to life ;)
