Baking up a storm

I've been doing a lot of baking lately. Trying different bread recipes and trying to add more whole wheat into our diets. I've also been experimenting with coconut oil. It is delicious. I made granola with it and it was absolutely divine! Eden helped me make chocolate chip cookies using coconut oil and they were delicious as well. They didn't last very long either....we need to make more ;)

in our aprons and ready to bake! I took Eden's picture and she took mine :) She is a very good helper, especially when someone needs to taste test the chocolate chips.

Sage + Food = Love

Sage loves food. She eats all day long...every day. And I really do mean all day long. Except of course, when she is napping, but she probably dreams about food. She wanders into the pantry and pulls all sorts of snacks out and requests that I open them and then she eats them...all of them. This picture was from dinner a few nights ago...we had spaghetti...or maybe the spaghetti had Sage...I can't really tell. There are also mandarin oranges smashed in her hair. Just in case you were wondering...Sage definitely had a bath before bed, and so did the high chair.

Eden also likes spaghetti...just not as much as Sage. :)

Little things I love

Two sweet girls fresh from the tub. The girls love to play in this big brown chair. Sage loves to tease Eden and then get tickled in return. Scotty usually joins them and we all play "catch the Scotty". Notice that Scotty is wearing his scarf. When the girls are being silly and having lots of fun, Eden usually asks me to take their picture. So I do. And now you get to enjoy too.

Milestones

Sage recently celebrated a milestone....we went from what we call "crab crawling" to walking. She can now chase Eden and vice versa. And she has recently figured out the stairs. So much fun for mommy :) All I can say is that I'm glad we have the baby gates for the stairs...otherwise I would be in excellent shape from going up and down so many times (*wink*).

Sage also loves shoes...not her own...everyone else's. I can't get her to wear her own shoes for very long, but she is constantly playing with everyone else's and trying them on. See how she goes for Eden's flip flop? She frequently comes out of my closet with one of my shoes on.

Feelin' Crafty

You know how sometimes you go through hobby phases? Well, right now I am on a crocheting kick. I decided to make a scarf and a hat for a Christmas gift and when Eden saw what I was doing she had to have a hat too. Here is the result. I even had enough yarn left over from the scarf I made to make a little scarf for Eden's very best stuffed friend, Scotty. Now they are both ready for cool weather...it just needs to hurry up and get here.

Just a Thought...

I thought that if I would change my blog to include a nice fall background, etc. that the weather would soon follow suit...

What's that? You think I'm delusional?

You are probably right. But a girl can hope, right?

Sweet Sisters

I love these two girls. They are sweet, silly, and super fun. They have lots of fun with each other too. Eden is always excited to get Sage up from her nap and she is always quick to make sure we remember Sage when we are doing anything (like we could forget Sage!). I am crocheting a hat for Eden and she picked up some extra yarn and told me that she wanted to crochet one for Sage. So sweet!

Sage always wants to get Eden up in the morning and is very excited to see her. She loves to tease Eden and wants to play with whatever Eden is playing with. Now sometimes, this bothers Eden. And we've had our share of "mom, Sage is bugging my stuff!" But for the most part, these sweet sisters like to be around each other. And I like to be around them. :)
