Then we had to make and decorate cookies for Santa. Sage also learned how to say "cookie" and only wanted to eat cookies...we had to hide the cookies so she would eat something else. I think she might have a sweet tooth.
Our Christmas Eve tradition is to sit on a blanket on the floor for dinner and eat food that maybe Jesus might have had, such as flat bread, hummus, olives, etc. We just kind of guess plus we want to eat things that the girls will actually eat, but it helps to get them in the spirit of Christmas. Then we watch "Joy to the World" which is a movie about the birth of our Savior and we talk about the real Christmas story. I think it is our very favorite thing to do during the Christmas season. Then everyone gets tucked into bed because Santa can't come if you are awake ;)
